Joel has an extensive background in Operations Management and Quality, where he has led diverse work teams for 20 years. His previous leadership includes national networks of Quality and operations personnel. He is also knowledgeable in the mission of employing persons with disabilities, having begun his professional career as a job coach for a nonprofit agency in Minnesota.
Joel has led multiple organizations through the process of ISO/TS 9000 certification in both for and not for profit sectors, and has designed and taught ISO and Lean Six Sigma courses for various commercial companies. Joel has managed and developed diverse lines of business to include custodial, facilities management, grounds maintenance, packaging and assembly. He has worked in services, products, and the semiconductor industry. Most recently, he has assumed the new and exciting role of VP, Contracts for Goodwill of Greater Washington.
