Goodwill of Greater Washington Announces 2007 Travelin’ Trunk Shows

Starting in March, 2007, Goodwill Retail Stores (A division of Goodwill of Greater Washington) will begin selling their vintage fashions at office buildings, apartment complexes and special events throughout the Washington, DC area in an effort to showcase the quality apparel available at the non-profit retail chain.

Goodwill will set up temporary stores or “Travelin’ Trunk Shows” in building lobbies or other high traffic areas where tenants and guests can rummage through the racks and racks of quality vintage and brand name merchandise that are available for sale.

In addition to selling merchandise, Goodwill will also be accepting donations during the trunk shows that will then be resold in Goodwill’s nine area retail stores or at future Travelin’ Trunk Shows!

All proceeds from retail sales will be used to support Goodwill’s mission of providing job training and placement services for people with disadvantages and disabilities right here in our community.
