US Airways recently made a $10,000 investment in DC Goodwill’s job training programs. In an effort to maximize the impact of their generous gift US Airways is challenging Goodwill customers by encouraging them to donate through our Round Up campaign when shopping at Goodwill.
Shoppers can support the Round up campaign by “rounding up” their purchases to the nearest dollar, with every penny going towards Goodwill’s job training, placement, and coaching services.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the grand opening celebration of our new retail store and donation center in Dale City, VA on Saturday, September 7th.
Located in the Ashdale Plaza shopping center just off of I-95 and only a short drive from Potomac Mills Mall, the grand opening was an enormous success generating enough revenue to provide 10 hours of free job training to almost 100 people!
At 25,000 square feet, the facility matches the size of Goodwill’s largest store in Annandale Plaza and will soon include a career center while creating up to 35 new jobs.
