Washington, DC – Every year during the first full week of May, Goodwill organizations across the United States and Canada celebrate Goodwill Industries Week to highlight the Goodwill mission — transforming lives and communities through the power of education and employment. This year, Goodwill Industries Week runs May 5 - 11.

Goodwill® of Greater Washington to Open 22nd DC Area Retail Store in the Dulles Corridor

Goodwill® of Greater Washington will be opening its newest retail store and donation center at 45380 Manifest Boulevard, Sterling, Virginia, located in the heart of the Dulles Corridor just north of Dulles Airport. The location is now accepting donations and the grand opening of the store is scheduled for April 13, 2024, at 9 am.

Kennedy Announces State of the Union Guest Ariel Clarke

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) today announced that Ariel Clarke will accompany him to this year’s State of the Union address. Clarke is a second generation American whose parents came to the U.S. from Jamaica. She has lived in Washington for 19 years, and she works in the Senate as part of the AbilityOne Program.

Greenlight for New Goodwill and AHC Development

On Saturday, February 24, the Arlington County Board unanimously approved the redevelopment of Goodwill of Greater Washington’s flagship store in Arlington, VA. The plan will provide critically-needed, service-enriched, affordable housing and a new, world-class retail store and donation center on the existing store’s site at 10 S. Glebe Road.
