Goodwill will provides a FREE Donation Pickup Service to the location of your choice. This FREE service is beneficial if you have large or many items you would like to donate, and have not the resources to transport them to a Goodwill local donation center.
Due to the high volume of requests for the FREE Home Pickup service you will need to schedule your request 6 - 8 weeks in advance. There is also an 8 item minimum requirement for our FREE Home Pickup service.
If you need a pickup sooner or have less than the minimum amount of items, please refer to our 48 Hour donation pickup service (This is not free but does offer additional benefits). Please make sure all donations are transportable and in an accessible area. Our transportation personnel will NOT remove items from attics, basements or carry item up/down stairs.

The confirmation email you receive only confirms that you have submitted a pickup request and NOT confirmation of your pickup. Pickup requests are scheduled in the order that they are received.

Goodwill will provide you with 48-Hour Priority Donation Pick-up through a new partnership with a local hauling service. This priority service charges a fee but includes additional benefits such as the removal of items from anywhere inside your property, as well as the removal of junk and items Goodwill cannot accept. Donors will receive a discount off the regular pricing of our hauling partner. Your donation is still tax-deductible when using our 48hour priority service.

Once the form has been successfully submitted please allow our contracted hauling service up to 1 full business day to contact you to schedule your donation pickup.
You will receive a confirmation email when the pickup request has been successfully submitted by both Goodwill and College Hunks.
If you believe the value of your donation is over $5,000, and if you plan to claim a charitable tax deduction for your donation, you may need to have Goodwill complete certain tax forms to be able to claim a charitable deduction. Before making a donation of that value, please call Goodwill at (202) 636-4225 and ask to speak to Goodwill’s Director of Development.
Federal law permits Goodwill donors to claim tax deductions for donated clothing and household items in good, used condition or better. While the IRS requires donors to value their items, you candownload this list of average prices as a guide for determining the value of your donation. Values are approximate and are based on items in good condition.
