Goodwill Expects to Place 100% of its First Security Training Program Class

Five weeks ago, eight men and two women walked into Goodwill’s Arlington Center to start their first day of the new Goodwill-NOVA Security Training program. On November 18th, all 10 of them walked out of the program’s graduation event with a certificate of completion, a security guard license, CPR/First Aid Card, and with most also earning five NOVA college credits towards a credential.

Even better than completion is that Allied Barton Security Firm has offered to hire all 10 graduates! This is a tremendous success story for Goodwill, Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), and especially these hard working and dedicated graduates! The 2012 holiday season will be one for celebration in these 10 households.

Interested applicants for future programs can contact Goodwill at (703) 769-3714 or visit www.dcgoodwill.org.
