Job Placement & Retention Service

GGW may provide intensive services such as on-site job coaching to help them adjust to the new work environment.

When individuals are ready to apply for jobs, GGW provides resources to help them conduct job searches, write resumes, and practice their interviewing skills. After clients find employment, workforce development specialists regularly consult with them to assess their progress and determine the need for additional services. In some cases, GGW may provide intensive services such as on-site job coaching to help them adjust to their new work environment.

Job placement services are offered to those who:

  1. Successfully complete our training program or recieves services via our Disability Services Team.
  2. Have a true desire to work, and
  3. Are willing to devote 20 or more hours a week in job searching.
Our Workforce Development Professionals will provide the following services:
  • Review career seeker's current and past work status and history
  • Conduct skills and career assessments
  • Advise career seekers on job search techniques, resume writing, and interviewing skills
  • Assist with searching and confirming available positions that compliment clients' skills and provide potential growth opportunities
  • Conduct mock interviews
  • Refer career seekers to other community based agencies, organizations, and resources to meet their needs
  • Seek methods to help career seekers maintain employment and adapt to the workplace environment
