"Early in his career, John Wooden, the coach who lead the historic UCLA dynasty to win 10 NCAA March Madness championships in 12 years, embraced the belief that success, as measured by each one of us individually, is the peace of mind derived from making the absolute and complete EFFORT to do the best of which you are capable. The quality of your effort counts first and foremost."
From "The Essential Wooden...A Lifetime of Lessons on Leaders and Leadership"
As I read this book and particulary this quote, I know that each of the 658 people who work at Goodwill of Greater Washington strive to make the best effort to do what each of us is capable to do in order to best serve the people of our community. This is our COMMITTMENT to you, the people who support us with you kind donations of time, clothing, cars, and money. Thank you for all you do for the staff of Goodwill of Greater Washington and the people we serve.
